This is the best pizza in NYC. $5 a slice. And an hour wait for a slice.

Nick's in Forest Hills, Queens
$28 for a large pizza with meatballs and onion + 2 black cherry sodas. Don't miss walking around the neighborhood to see the Tudor homes. Thanks to Amanda for joining me!

Posto - East Village
Razor thin slices that will make you wonder how they can possibly do it. (Best house salad in the city, and I never order a salad.) I had the salad, the sweet Italian sausage and roasted onion personal-size pizza, and an iced tea.
Fantastic atmosphere. Loud, dark, small, nicely kept, efficient. No tourists. No Batali. No room for collapsed strollers. Shocked that the staff didn't have any European accents. All-American and still good food.
$29 after tax and tip. Worth $21.
Regrets: not ordering a summer wheat beer, and not giving Edgar my phone number...
